We have developed a traffic engineering support system for ATM nodes that provides an environment for the statistical analysis of traffic and congestion information collected from the ATM nodes.
This system helps network managers analyze the traffic characteristics of ATM nodes, which provide various types of communications, and enables efficient traffic engineering. In this paper we describe our system and give an example of its application to traffic engineering.
