How to go there

    * Before travelling, you have to check the sites for the SAHARA desert as follows. Then you'll get
       information about the Sahara.

             www.raidsahara.free.fr

     * Travelling solo in the desert is rather dangerous, so I advise you to participate in a tour for the Sahara.
We can find many tours of travel agency in Europe. I joined in the french travel agency
; TagoulmoustAventure,
Visage du Sud. Both were very friendly, and the participators who have 4WD and also want to drive in the dunes,
enjoyed themselves acquiring the driving technique for the high and soft dunes during around 2weeks.
The travel agency has a different type of travelling; a tour with 4WD, with camels, a trekking tour and a mixed type..
You can choose your favorite tour, a reasonable, safe, comfortable one including a delicious food.

     * Morocco, Tunisia and Egypt are nice counties for the people who try to travel to the desert for the first time,
because the roads are in good condition
towards the desert area. If you go there by car, you can take pleasure in driving,
        looking at the scenery.
Mauritania, Mali, Niger, Chad, Soudan are rather poor countries and then you have to get information about the security.
West Sahara, Algelia have some problems and we can't travel because of the security of tourism.
Libya is generally safe, but bear in mind that politacal problems with the outside world can mean sudden
changes of policy and regulations govering foreign travellers. It would be wise to get up-to-date information
about the situation before you travel. There have recently been a few problems with internal security and although these
should not affect the ordinary travellers, it pays to be alert.

     *      Photography

Islamic countries are very sensitive about photography and there are still reports of foreigners

foreigners being stopped and questioned when taking photographs. The worst thing that may happed is that you will
have your film confiscated. There is no problem with taking pictures at tourist sites but when travelling in rural areas,
be careful about photographing people and et their pemission first. Please don't take a picture the administrative and
        military buildings.
