BLOOD SHOT by Sara Paretskyここ数年はアマゾンで洋書を購入しています．最初はU.SそれにHarry PotterはUKから購入しました．現在はもちろんJapan．「１５００円以上送料無料！」にひかれて，もう１冊注文することも多いのですが，これもその１冊．「Charm
Cityを購入した人は…」という惹句にひかれてよくわからないまま購入しました．Charm
Cityが女性探偵（見習い？），米国東部のボルチモアが舞台ということで，シカゴで活躍中の女探偵，V.I.
Warshawskiの登場となったようです．ウェブ上では結構のファンもいるらしいし，映画にもなっているそうなので，結構人気の作家のよう．アマゾンも彼女の代表作でも推薦してくれればいいのに，シリーズ５作目で，それも快心の作でもなさそう．中途半端な作品を読んでしまったみたい…
女性の作家ということもあり語彙も豊富，教養もあるようで，現在の映画から聖書まで読者に共通の「教養」を要求しているよう．私は教養がないので，気のついた部分を集めてみました．

Oldsmobiles「オールズモービル」は現在はＧＭの一部となった自動車会社
こんな感じの車だったのでしょうか？

ということだそうです．
