Songs & Compositions

If there is something that interests you, we'll figure out how to collaborate.

e-mail me a message. I have a lot more songs than this, of course. Most of these songs are quick and dirty demos with me doing everything, for the most part. Getting a great vocal on any of the tracks would of course inspire me to work on it and replace the other instrumental tracks.

excerpt of All I Want is You sung by Scotty Wright An example of what a real singer can do with a song of mine.

I Wish You Happiness

I wish you good fortune in all that you do
I hope you succeed in whatever you choose
And if you find love may it bring you true bliss
But most of all, I wish you happiness

I wish you good luck in all your endeavors
May you live a long life and your line last forever
And the joy that you know increase to excess
But most of all, I wish you happiness

There's so much to know
You can't know it all
There is so much to do
You'll never finish it all
But If you love your life
You'll be satisfied
Your life's surely blessed
I know you'll find happiness

Look back on your history, there's a meaning and shape
Your pathway is set from the choices you make
You can add up the tally of loss and success
But in the end it comes down to happiness

I hope you gain fame, A home, car and money
Friends and admirers, may your days all be sunny
But it's true what they say, you need none of this
You only need love, love brings you happiness

There is so much to know
You can't know it all
There is so much to do
You'll never finish it all
But If you love your life
You'll be satisfied
Your life's surely blessed
I know you'll find happiness
Your life's surely blessed
I know you'll find happiness

I wish you love
I wish you happiness
I wish you love
I wish you happiness
I wish you love
I wish you happiness
I wish you love
I wish you happiness
And If you love your life
You are truly blessed
I know you'll find love
I know you'll find happiness
I wish you love
I wish you happiness

Lou Harrison may be spinning in his grave, but it is because of a love for his music that I chopped up, mutilated, added instruments to, wrote lyrics and rapped over his piece Xenotonality.

21st Century American/Xenotonality

What we’re saying
What we’re thinking
No war, no more,
no war
What we’re saying
What we’re thinking
No war, no more
No war, no more

Broken dreams, Make me scream
Potential’s there, They just don’t care
The top get more, the rest get poor
The Bush-league corps just want war-
Money for their rich-ass friends
In your face, they don’t even pretend
They got theirs, They say that’s enough
Go fuck yourself if you find it rough

New Orleans, a desolate scene
Where’s relief, clean water, and hygiene?
Making them wait ‘till they have to break
Into the stores just to survive
Entire ‘hoods under the sea
Not my problem, it ain’t me
Same old story over again
The rich get richer and the poor get children

What we’re saying
What we’re thinking
No war, no more
No war, no more

Know your self
gaze inside
face your hell
face your lie
Find a citadel
(and) Lock yourself away
Heal ‘till you are well
Come back when you’re okay

Repeat that lie again and again
Wrap it in the flag, that’ll get ‘em then
Build up the fear to a fever pitch
They won’t notice how your friends get rich

line your pockets with more profits
bleed the world from your office
take all the best from us
steal from the rest of us
Bottom feeding, bloodsucking, avaricious scumbuckets

taking anything that the Earth provides
Breaking everything corporations know why
Use it up, Do without, When in doubt, throw it out
Buy a new one, steal from someone We don’t need it anyhow

What we’re saying
What we’re thinking
No war, no more
No war, no more

What we’re saying
What we’re thinking
No war, no more
No war, no more

What we’re saying
What we’re thinking
No war, no more
No war, no more

What we’re saying
What we’re thinking
No war, no more
No war, no war

Another lyric with a double meaning.

Help Me Get Over You

My eyes are stabbed with a thousand pins
My head feels like it’s being beat in
Can’t comprehend a thing
Can’t focus my brain
I need a shot of suicide to terminate the pain

My torture climbs right up my spine
Just put me six feet under and that’s where I’ll lie
I can’t get any rest
There’s pounding in my chest
Give me something quick so I can disinfect this mess

Chorus
Help me get over you
You’re making me sick
Let me be through with you
There must be a trick
There must be a key
That unlocks the box I’m in
There’s just got to be
A way for you to lose and me to win

I wasn’t depressed, wasn’t hurtin’ at all
Didn’t feel a thing till I got your call
You stung me with your dart
Went through to my heart
But you’re playing with my head trying to tear it apart

I’m totally helpless when you’re in my arms
I should have seen it coming, should have heard the alarms
When you’re gone I get scared
And it’s worse when you’re there
I Gotta find an escape, a way to wake from this nightmare

Chorus

Bridge
You made me want you more and more
Pummled me down to the killin’ floor
You brought me to my knees
Now I’m beggin’ ‘set me free!’
You pretend to be a lover, (but) you’re a vicious enemy

Solo

Let me hold you once more, maybe for the last time
I’m afraid it’s time to pay for all of my crimes
I just wanna be sane
And escape from the pain
I’ll soak up your love one final time and then I’ll die in vain

Chorus

Believe in You

Believe in you
Believe In You

I guess it was time for a change in my life
I needed someone to help me along upon my way
And you helped me to find my way to you
And I knew, it’s easy to believe in you

I once was a king
I thought I had everything I needed
But something was wrong,
I wanted someone to share my life with
And you came to me when I needed you
It’s easy to believe in you

And loving you is so easy for me
Everything happens so naturally
It’s the simplest thing I ever tried to do
You make it so easy to believe in you

 Instrumental

And you came to me when I needed you
It’s easy to believe in you

And now that I’ve grown
Enough to find my way to love you
My life seems to change,
But something remains always inside me
And now I know I’ll always be with you
It’s true, it’s easy to believe in you

You make it so easy to believe in you
It’s the simplest thing I ever tried to do
Loving you is so easy for me
Everything happens so naturally
It’s the simplest thing I ever tried to do
You make it so easy to believe in you

I hope you can see the movie. I made it in iPhoto and iMovie. I got the pictures off the Internet.

I’ll Remember You

Thanks once again to Jim Ediger for playing piano.

Attraction grows, embrace this woman
May our springtime last forever
Don’t wait too long to find the moment
No time to lose I must wed her
I’ve an instinct so strong
That our love will last so long
We will see forever together

Times of bliss are short in hours
But they last a lifetime in memory
No hardship can us overpower
Even times of war with our enemies
We will share one heart, even though apart
‘Till we’re back together in victory

chorus
Always, I’ll remember you
My heart ever will be true
Someday I’ll come back to you
Wait  for me. Wait till then
Forever I will think of you
And the world that we knew
After all we must go through
I’ll be back in your arms again

Don’t dare to sleep in this nightmare
No relief, my watch ‘till the morning
Fatigue so deep, I’m unaware
They launch their attack without warning
As we rise to fight I see a burst of light
Then I’m lying watching the sky

I’m fading now, my pain is gone
But I feel you are lying beside me
Let’s walk together, hold on real strong
For I know my seed is inside thee
Though my body’s gone, life will carry on
And our child will be the best part of me

chorus
Always, I’ll remember you
My heart ever will be true
Someday I’ll come back to you
Wait  for me. Wait till then
Forever I will think of you
And the world that we knew
After all we must go through
I’ll be back, back in your arms, in your loving arms again

Always, I’ll remember you
My heart ever will be true
Someday I’ll come back to you
Wait for me. Wait till then
Forever I will think of you
And the world that we knew
After all we must go through
I’ll be back, back in your arms again

To You Alone

I'm looking for a way to say I need to

be near you, every single day

I'd give My life to you alone, to you alone

to you

I'm hoping you Will understand and say I

can stay with you, and be part of your life

For the rest of time, each day I'll worship you

you

Knowing that you would love me

Would make my life complete

There's nothing more I could ask for

Then to be With you for the rest of my life

I think you understand my situation

I need your love, and you know I do

If you feel the way I do, please let me know

by saying you love me too

Dark Times

The dam is gonna burst
No question in my mind
It’s gonna get much worse
It’s just a matter of time
Better find high ground
No sense to hang around
Join the underground
Escape before you’re found
 You better beware
 We're living in dark times

The demons in our hearts
breed carnage all around
decline in all the arts
greed and crime abound
Some one, somewhere, some day
Will find what we create
Rebuild what’s been erased
And wonder what was hate
 They’ll say we were living
 living in dark times

Hang on to your happiness
Hold on to your hope
Some day fate will favor us
Just when I don't know

The bridge is gonna snap
The cars will fall in the bay
The borders on the map
Will all fade away
When the new day dawns
The weapons will be gone
The killers will have lost
The lovers will have won
 Remember how
 We’re living in dark times
 Remember now
 We’re living in dark times

Hang on to your happiness
Hold on to your hope
Some day fate will favor us
Just when I don't know
Better believe we’re living in dark times
For now, we’re living, living in dark times

What’s Wrong With Love?
(The stalker's tale)

verse
Life in too small a town
Reality gets me down
Pretending to take a chance
Dreams of forbidden romance

chorus
Tell me what’s wrong with love?
Am I the one that you’re secretly thinking of?
Tell me what’s so wrong with love?
We lie so low, why can’t we rise above?

verse
Make an excuse to leave
We’ll go where no one will see
How long can we meet like this?
Stealing a furtive kiss

chorus (half)
Tell me what’s so wrong, what could be wrong with me loving you
My Love’s so strong I’ll never, ever let go of you

Bridge
If we run away today we can make it in the city I know, for sure
We can start a new life, it’ll all be all right, even though we’re poor

verse
Illusions don’t last so long
It’s hard to keep carrying on
Give me some hope again
Feed me lies or more fantasy then

bridge 2
Alone together, just us two
There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for you, for you

guitar solo

verse
Nights spent dreaming of you
Days with too little to do
Sometimes I still follow you
Just to see what it is you do

chorus
Tell me what’s wrong with my love?
Am I so low and you so high above?
I’m asking what’s wrong with love?
Can’t you see I’m dreaming my life away dreaming of us?

Rock Band
It could have happened, but didn't.

Gonna make a rock band
Gonna move to Japan
We’ll play in Tokyo
Work on our stage show
We’ll do everything right
Hit it big over night.
Rock band

We’ll write new originals
Make bios that are fictional
Find a new concept
And put it on the Internet
Upload ourselves to MySpace
And build up a fan base
Rock band   rock band

Smash our instruments
Scream like we’re idiots yeah,  (oh they’ll love it. Seriously)
Spiked hair dyed blue
piercings and tattoos yeah, (we look great!)

Parents will hate us
‘fraid we’re contagious  (No?! nothing to worry about!)
Scandals including
Drug, sex, and groupies yeah (go for it, all night long)

    GUIT. SOLO

Gonna make a hit song
It won’t be too long
It’s all about nothing
But the words ‘ll say “fucking”
The Kids ‘ll eat it up
They’ll sing it on the school bus
They’ll break every rule that they can

Smash our instruments
Scream like we’re idiots yeah,  (oh yeah, they’ll love it)
Spiked hair dyed blue
Piercings and tattoos yeah, (ouch!)

Now our manager’s left us
Took everything ‘cept us
We’re stranded at the airport
And we can’t find our passports
Seems like we’re really stuck
Our roadie says “rots of ruck”
Rock band
Stuck in Japan rock band
Is this the end of our rock band?
Rock band!
